Zamboanga City, Philippines – The city government of Zamboanga has reported a substantial P16.16 million in revenue from business permit applications and renewals during the first week of operations under the electronic Business One-Stop-Shop (eBOSS) system, running from January 2 to 7, 2025.

As of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7, a total of 4,121 business applications were submitted through the eBOSS platform. Of these, 3,925 have been successfully assessed, while four are still pending. Additionally, 2,947 applications are ready for payment, and 876 printed permits have been issued.

The shift to online business registration aims to streamline processes and improve convenience for local entrepreneurs. However, recognizing that some business owners may still face challenges with the digital system, the city government continues to operate its traditional Business One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) at Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar. The BOSS facility remains open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekends to assist those requiring in-person support.

Moreover, businesses can make payments at several locations, including the Centro Latino BOSS, the City Government payment center at SM City Mindpro, and the main City Treasurer’s Office at City Hall.

Business registration and renewal for the year 2025 runs until January 20, with the eBOSS system offering a more efficient way to complete the process. The local government urges business owners to take advantage of the digital platform to ensure timely processing of their permits and renewals.

The transition to eBOSS is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to modernize and simplify its services, ultimately benefiting local businesses and enhancing overall productivity.
