Cagayan de Oro City – A joint anti-drug operation led by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU 10) on December 10, 2024, resulted in the arrest of two individuals involved in illegal drug activities in Bantilis, Barangay Bugo.
The suspects were identified as “Loloy,” a 40-year-old male resident of San Vicente, Barangay Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, and “Jay,” a 29-year-old male resident of Zone 2, Barangay Agusan, Cagayan de Oro City. Both individuals are first-time offenders.
Seized Items
Authorities confiscated nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of varying sizes containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. The confiscated drugs weighed 50 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 340,000.00. Two wallets were also recovered during the operation.
Legal Proceedings
The suspects are currently detained at Police Station 6, Cagayan de Oro City Police Office. They will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
