Libungan, Cotabato Province — Eleven sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from a high-value drug personality in a buy-bust operation conducted by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) on December 6, 2024, at around 12:57 PM in Barangay Cabpangi.

The suspect, identified as Alias Jeff or Kuting, a 36-year-old electrician from Libungan, was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu worth Php 500 to an undercover operative. Authorities revealed that the suspect’s areas of operation include the municipalities of Libungan and Midsayap in Cotabato Province.

The operation was a coordinated effort involving PDEA Cotabato Provincial Office, Libungan Municipal Police Station, PNP Regional Intelligence Division 12, and the Cotabato Police Provincial Office – Provincial Intelligence Unit.

Confiscated from the suspect were 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately one gram with an estimated street value of Php 6,800.

The suspect is now in custody and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to intensify anti-drug operations to curb the illegal drug trade in the region.
