Davao City, Philippines—A festive gathering of barangay captains marked the Christmas season in Davao City as they came together for “Paskomustahan 2024” at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Friday, December 20, 2024. The event was attended by key members of the Duterte family and other prominent figures.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte graced the occasion, joined by Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte and 3rd District Representative Isidro Ungab. Adding to the celebration were Rigo and Omar Duterte, sons of Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.

In a Facebook post, Rep. Ungab shared photos from the event, captioned: “Paskomustahan 2024. The gathering was attended by leaders from all 173 barangays in Davao City. It served as both a Christmas celebration and an opportunity for the barangay captains to connect with the former president and other officials. The event featured a lively atmosphere filled with the spirit of the season, highlighted by a grand raffle draw.

Barangay 76-A Captain Robert Olan Olan, one of the attendees, expressed his gratitude on social media after winning major prizes in the raffle, including a 4×4 pick-up truck and a washing machine. “This was an unforgettable Christmas celebration for us barangay captains,” he said.

The event, spearheaded by the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod group, underscored the Duterte family’s continued influence and commitment to local governance in Davao City. The festive evening brought joy, unity, and the true essence of Christmas to the city’s barangay leaders.

As the year draws to a close, the Paskomustahan celebration served as a reminder of the strong ties between Davao City’s leadership and its grassroots communities.
