In two separate but significant operations, law enforcement personnel from various agencies in Lanao del Norte successfully apprehended two of the province’s most wanted individuals, highlighting their commitment to ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law.
On November 13, 2024, a joint operation led by the personnel from the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Lanao del Norte Police Provincial Office (LDN PPO), Regional Intelligence Division (RID 10), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), and Kapatagan Municipal Police Station (MPS) resulted in the capture of the Ranked No. 9 Most Wanted Individual at the provincial level. The operation took place in Purok-3, Barangay Poblacion, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte. The arrested individual, a 34-year-old female, was a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Margos, Kapatagan, and had been evading authorities for some time. She was apprehended by virtue of a warrant for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, under Criminal Case No. 21-5853, issued by Hon. Alberto P. Quinto, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 21 in Kapatagan. A bail bond of P200,000 was recommended for her temporary liberty. The accused is now under the custodial care of Kapatagan MPS for booking and further processing.

Magsalay, Provincial Director of LDN PPO, commended the dedicated efforts of all personnel involved in the operation, stating, “This successful operation underscores the unwavering commitment of law enforcement authorities to uphold the rule of law and ensure the safety and security of our communities. We commend the professionalism exhibited by all personnel involved.”
The following day, on November 14, 2024, a joint operation involving Tubod MPS, PIU, LDN PPO, and Regional Intelligence Unit 10 led to the capture of the No. 1 Most Wanted Individual at the municipal level in Tubod, Lanao del Norte. At around 1:30 PM, authorities arrested a 51-year-old male, alias “Ramil,” a married construction worker from Purok-6, Barangay Campo-5, Tubod. The accused was wanted for the crime of Qualified Rape (RPC, Article 266-B) under Criminal Case No. 3372-07-2024. The warrant was issued by Hon. Richie Gay T. Mendoza, Presiding Judge of RTC-LDN, Branch 07. No bail was recommended for his temporary liberty. He is now in the custody of Tubod MPS for documentation and further legal proceedings.
