Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province – A recent anti-drug operation in Ipil has led to the arrest of a male suspect and the confiscation of illegal drugs, highlighting the ongoing commitment of authorities to combat drug-related activities in the province. The operation was conducted by local law enforcement officers as part of their intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
During the operation, four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu were seized. The confiscated drugs, weighing approximately 5 grams, have an estimated market value of PHP36,000.00.
The arrested individual, who is of legal age, is now in custody and will face charges related to the possession and distribution of illegal drugs. Law enforcement officials noted that the success of the operation reflects their continued resolve to address the illegal drug trade, which remains a key issue in the province.
“Our commitment to combat illegal drug activities remains firm. This recent buy-bust is just one of the many actions we are undertaking to keep our communities safe and drug-free,” stated a spokesperson for the operation.
The authorities continue to encourage public cooperation, urging residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to help put an end to the illegal drug trade.
