Kidapawan City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista emphasized the importance of strengthening and empowering the Moro women sector in the city. Through the Advancing the Peoples Organization in Kidapawan through Innovation and Development of Social Capital (APOKIDS) program, the city government aims to help the United Bangsamoro Women Kidapawan City Federation achieve growth and self-reliance in the future.

The Moro women’s group will undergo an orientation under the APOKIDS program, which will guide them on how to strengthen their organization and improve the welfare of its members.
The federation held its General Assembly on Monday, November 25, at the City Convention Center. Among the special guests was former Cotabato Governor Manny F. Piñol, who announced a partnership with Mayor Evangelista to establish a Halal Center in the city. This initiative will focus on the export of Halal-certified beef, opening job opportunities for Moro women.
Joining the event was 2nd Cotabato Legislative District Board Member Dr. Krista Piñol-Solis, who supported the advocacy for empowering Moro women in the city.
Participants expressed their gratitude to Mayor Evangelista for his unwavering support for the Moro women’s sector, highlighting his administration’s efforts to uplift their community.
