Drug Den Dismantled in Malaybalay City; Four Suspects Arrested

Malaybalay City, Bukidnon — In a decisive operation against illegal drugs, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office X (PDEA RO-X), in collaboration with the Malaybalay City Police Station and the PNP Regional Intelligence Unit Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Team, successfully dismantled a drug den in Barangay 11, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, on November 16, 2024.

The operation led to the arrest of four individuals and the confiscation of approximately five grams of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride), valued at Php 34,000, as determined by the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).

Arrested Suspects

The apprehended individuals were identified as:

  • Alias JOSH, 27, single, resident of Barangay 11, Impalambong, Malaybalay City
  • Alias IAN, 29, single, resident of Barangay 10, Impalambong, Malaybalay City
  • Alias JAN, 25, single, a job order worker from Barangay 11, Impalambong, Malaybalay City
  • Alias KIM, 30, single, resident of Barangay 11, Impalambong, Malaybalay City

The suspects will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PDEA RO-X emphasized that the successful operation underscores the agency’s unwavering commitment to combating illegal drug activities in Bukidnon. It also highlights the importance of collaboration among law enforcement agencies in ensuring safer communities.

Authorities called on the public to remain vigilant and continue supporting efforts to eradicate illegal drugs, noting that community involvement is critical in sustaining the momentum in the fight against this societal menace.

PDEA vowed to intensify its operations to dismantle drug syndicates and ensure accountability for those involved in the drug trade.

This latest operation is part of the ongoing efforts to secure Bukidnon’s communities from the adverse effects of illegal drugs, demonstrating the government’s resolve to uphold the rule of law and public safety.
