SHARIFF SAYDONA MUSTAPHA, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR — A man from neighboring Shariff Aguak was killed in a shooting incident in Gadung Pagetin 1, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Maguindanao del Sur, on Thursday evening, September 10, 2026, according to initial information gathered from the area.
The victim was identified as Nas Butuan, also known by the alias “Roy,” a resident of Barangay Beka in Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur.
Initial reports indicated that Butuan was riding a Bajaj top-down motorcycle when he was reportedly shot. The circumstances surrounding the attack remained unclear as of the latest available information.
Authorities were continuing to gather information about the incident, including the identity of the gunman and the possible motive for the shooting. It was not immediately established whether the victim and the assailant knew each other or whether the attack was related to any previous dispute.
