Two Arrested, Php136,000 Worth of Shabu Seized in Davao City Buy-Bust Operation

In a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Ma-a Police Station 16, two individuals were arrested, and Php136,000 worth of shabu was seized in Barangay 76-A Bucana, Davao City. The operation took place on October 19, 2024, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

Police Major Elfren N. Barredo, Acting Station Commander of Ma-a Police Station 16, identified the arrested suspects as “Ken,” 23, and “Pat,” 22, both residents of Davao City. A third suspect, known as “Mac,” is still at large and is being pursued by authorities.

The operation was carried out by personnel from Ma-a Police Station 16 and the 1st City Mobile Force Company. The suspects were found in possession of six packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 20 grams, with a street value of Php136,000. Additionally, the police recovered Php7,000 in buy-bust money, a cellphone, and Php200 in personal cash from the suspects.

The arrested individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”

Meanwhile, the Police Regional Office 11 reaffirmed its commitment to its ongoing anti-criminality campaign, in line with the “Bagong Pilipinas” program, which aims to maintain peace and order as a foundation for national development.
