Kiamba, Sarangani Province, October 26, 2024 – In a successful anti-drug operation, the Sarangani Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL Deanry R. Francisco, arrested a Street Level Individual (SLI) and seized nearly ₱15,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation on October 25, 2024, in Barangay Suli, Kiamba.
The joint operation, conducted by the Kiamba Municipal Police Station and supporting units, resulted in the arrest of a 60-year-old suspect identified as alias “Rom.” A resident of Purok 2, Barangay Katubao, Rom is reportedly married and currently jobless.
Authorities recovered two sachets of suspected shabu from Rom’s possession, one weighing approximately 1.0385 grams and the other about 2.3042 grams, with a combined estimated street value of ₱14,977. Also seized was a one-thousand peso bill, which was used as buy-bust money during the operation. The confiscated items have been submitted to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO-12) for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Rom is currently detained at the Kiamba Municipal Police Station, where he awaits proper legal disposition. Charges are being prepared against him for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
