A 31-year-old male was apprehended during a drug buy-bust operation in Purok Bulawanon, Abad Santos St., Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, at approximately 6:27 PM on October 12, 2024. The suspect, a habal-habal driver and resident of Molave, was arrested following a successful buy-bust transaction.
The operation was conducted by the Municipal Drug Enforcement Team of Molave MPS in collaboration with ZSPIU9 and ZSPDEU9. During the operation, authorities recovered the following items:
- One small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (buy-bust item).
- One medium-sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (for possession).
- One five-hundred-peso bill (buy-bust money).
- One Winston cigarette pack (red) used as a container.
- One Samsung cellphone (keypad), color sky blue.
The confiscated drug items will be submitted to the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Forensic Unit 9 for quantitative and qualitative analysis. A case for violation of RA 9165 has been prepared against the arrested individual, who is currently in the custody of Molave MPS. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help combat the illegal drug trade.
