The Bukidnon Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (BUK-PDEU), together with Valencia CPS, successfully uprooted fully-grown marijuana plants and arrested a high-value individual (HVI) in Sitio Magsal, Barangay Guinoyuran, Valencia City, Bukidnon on September 4, 2024.
The suspect is identified as alias “Toto,” a 40-year-old farmer and resident of the aforementioned area, who was identified as the owner and cultivator of the marijuana plants.
The operation led to the confiscation of 69 hills of fully grown marijuana, each measuring about 6 feet in height, and 150 pieces of marijuana seedlings/bagging with a total market value of PhP43,800.00.
Suspect is now under the custody of Valencia City Police Station, Bukidnon Police Provincial Office, for proper disposition. The uprooted marijuana plants were destroyed and burned at the scene in the presence of witnesses, while substantial samples were taken and will be submitted to the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Malaybalay City for laboratory examination.
