PDEA ROXII, PNP Dismantle Drug Den, Arrest Five in Kidapawan City

Kidapawan City, Cotabato Province – In a significant anti-illegal drug operation, anti-narcotic operatives arrested five individuals, including the owner of a drug den, on September 5, 2024, at 10:10 PM in Purok Pomelo, Ricafort Subdivision, Barangay Poblacion, Kidapawan City.

PDEA ROXII Director Aileen T. Lovitos identified the suspects as Mairah Bringas Marohom, 44, a Regional Target-listed personality and the den owner; Mohamad Alane Rie Alauya Hornada, 19; Sarah Sophia Marohom, 26; Vincent Mondano, 18; and Dezairah Marohom y Bringas, 19, all residents of Kidapawan City.

During the operation, authorities confiscated a total of 39 sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride, commonly known as shabu, weighing approximately 13 grams with an estimated value of Php 88,400.00. Various drug paraphernalia and empty sachets with suspected shabu residue were also seized.

The operation was a joint effort by the PDEA Cotabato Provincial Office, Cotabato Police Drug Enforcement Unit, and Kidapawan City Police Station, who implemented the search warrant.

The suspects are currently detained and will face charges for violating Article II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

This successful operation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat illegal drug activities and ensure the safety and well-being of the community.
