Butuan City – A member of the LGBTQ community, identified as Kristopher Sanchez Burdeos, also known as Bongbong, was arrested during a drug buy-bust operation conducted by personnel from Butuan City Station Police-2. The operation took place in Purok Liloan, Barangay Agusan Pequeno, Butuan City.
Burdeos, 45, was found in possession of two grams of shabu, valued at ₱13,600. In addition to the illegal drugs, authorities also recovered marked money amounting to ₱500, which will be used as evidence in filing charges against the suspect.
Burdeos is currently detained and will face charges related to Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
This operation underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat the illegal drug trade in the region and highlights the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in ensuring public safety.
