Balindong, Lanao del Sur – A successful buy-bust operation conducted by the Balindong Municipal Police Station (MPS), in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of the Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office (LDSPPO), led to the arrest of a drug suspect identified as alias “Rocky” in Barangay Lumbayao, Balindong, Lanao del Sur, on September 16, 2024, at around 6:00 PM.
Police Colonel Robert S. Daculan, LDSPPO Provincial Director, commended the team for their efforts in the operation, which resulted in the apprehension of the suspect and the seizure of illegal drugs.
During the operation, authorities recovered seven small transparent sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately 0.5 grams, with an estimated street value of Php 3,400.00. Additional items confiscated included drug paraphernalia and the buy-bust money used in the operation.
The proper inventory and marking of evidence were conducted at the scene, witnessed by barangay officials, a representative from the Department of Justice (DOJ), and members of the media to ensure transparency and legality in the proceedings.
The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the Balindong MPS for further investigation and appropriate legal action. The operation is part of the ongoing efforts of law enforcement to combat the illegal drug trade in Lanao del Sur.
