Misamis Oriental – A total of 1,295 beneficiaries received financial assistance through the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program during the National Simultaneous Pay-out for AKAP and TUPAD. The beneficiaries hailed from various municipalities including Balingoan, Lagonglong, Tagoloan, Alubijid, Initao, Laguindingan, and Naawan.
Governor Peter ‘Sr. Pedro’ M. Unabia, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), ensured that the financial aid reached the people in need. This event also coincided with the birthday celebration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
This initiative is part of the efforts to alleviate poverty in the province, in line with the Sustainable Development and Poverty Intervention (SDPI) Program and the PAGLAUM Development Agenda under the governor’s Unified Efforts for Health and Social Services Delivery.
The financial assistance provided through TUPAD aims to support disadvantaged and displaced workers by offering them temporary employment and financial relief. This program is a testament to the collaborative efforts of the local government and national agencies in addressing the socio-economic challenges faced by the community.
