KIDAPAWAN CITY, Cotabato — April 8, 2025 — Authorities apprehended a High-Value Individual (HVI) and confiscated over ₱343,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation conducted in Purok 3, Barangay Magsaysay, Kidapawan City.
The operation, spearheaded by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU12) under PMAJ Dave B. Abarra, was carried out in coordination with the Kidapawan City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 12 (PDEA 12).
The suspect, identified only as “Borj,” a 27-year-old resident of Kilangan, Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur, was arrested after selling a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover operative. Recovered from him were two sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 50.5 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱343,400. Authorities also seized the ₱1,000 marked buy-bust money used during the operation.
Police conducted the inventory and marking of the evidence on-site in the presence of the suspect. The process was witnessed by Radyo BIDA media practitioner Randy Parches and Hon. Jose Elmer Labrador, a barangay official of Barangay Magsaysay.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is currently in the custody of the Kidapawan City Police Station pending further legal proceedings.
Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) emphasized that the successful arrest of a high-profile drug personality underscores the region’s intensified efforts against illegal drugs.
