The Oro Response and Processing Center (ORPC) of the City Social Welfare and Development Department has extended assistance to 399 individuals living on the streets in 2024.

According to ORPC records, 158 of those assisted were Children in Street Situations (street kids), 109 were Badjao mendicants, 108 were homeless individuals, and 245 were mentally challenged persons.

ORPC Head Cherikhawa B. Paña has called on the public to report any sightings of street children, mendicants, homeless individuals, or mentally challenged persons in need of assistance. Reports can be made through their 24/7 hotline at 09353952161 or 09099870148.

The ORPC is responsible for conducting outreach operations to provide immediate aid and support to those living on the streets. The center is currently located at the OKK Building, across from Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan College Campus.
