Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City – A joint anti-illegal drug operation conducted on March 13, 2025, in Purok 5, General Lim St., Poblacion, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, led to the arrest of a high-value drug suspect and the seizure of illegal substances worth PhP 374,000.00.
Authorities apprehended the suspect, identified by the alias “Tonton,” who is classified as the Top 4 regional-level high-value individual in the illegal drug trade. The operation, executed through a buy-bust setup, resulted in the confiscation of four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one genuine 1,000-peso bill accompanied by seven machine-copied bills, and other non-drug-related items.
The successful operation highlights the continuous efforts of Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) in combating illegal drugs. It aligns with the strategic directives of Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, PGEN Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, and emphasizes the vital role of community support in the ongoing campaign for a drug-free region.
