Davao del Sur, October 2, 2024 – In a significant blow to illegal drug activities in the region, an anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Barangay Poblacion, Kiblawan, Davao del Sur, led to the arrest of a high-priority target. The operation, held on Purok 1B Dura Tibas Street, resulted in the apprehension of an individual known by the alias “Iyol,” listed as Regional Target No. 10.
Authorities seized suspected shabu with a standard drug price of ₱8,636.00 during the operation, along with other evidence including transparent heat-sealed sachets containing the illegal substance, a ₱1,000 bill, and various drug paraphernalia.
Law Enforcement Efforts
The successful operation was carried out by personnel from the Kiblawan Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the Provincial Intelligence Unit and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Davao del Sur Police Provincial Office (DSPPO), as well as the 1st Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) also played a crucial role in the operation, underscoring the coordinated efforts between agencies in the fight against illegal drugs.
The suspect, now under the custody of the Kiblawan Municipal Police Station, faces appropriate charges as law enforcement agencies continue their efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal substances in the region.

Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) Regional Director, PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, commended the officers involved in the successful operation.
