General Santos City, March 14, 2025 – The Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) continues its intensified campaign against illegal drugs with the successful arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) and the seizure of suspected shabu worth Php 274,720.00 in a recent anti-illegal drug operation.

The drug-bust operation took place at Royeca Street, Zone 9, Barangay Bula, General Santos City, and was carried out by joint operatives from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU 12), Regional Intelligence Division 12 (RID 12), City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU), and Police Station 6 (PS6) of the General Santos City Police Office (GSCPO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 12 (PDEA 12).

Authorities identified the arrested suspect as alias “Junrex,” a 39-year-old resident of Purok Buan Extension, Barangay Apopong, General Santos City. The operation led to the confiscation of nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing 40.4 grams, valued at Php 274,720.00 based on the National Standard Drug Price. Additionally, Php 1,000.00 in buy-bust money was recovered from the suspect.

The arrested individual is currently in the custody of Police Station 6, GSCPO, while the seized drug evidence has been sent to the Regional Forensic Unit 12 for further examination.

PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, commended the successful operation, stating, “This accomplishment is a result of the intensified intelligence efforts of our operatives in our anti-illegal drugs campaign. Let this serve as a stern warning to those involved in the drug trade—PRO 12 will remain relentless in its pursuit of a safer, drug-free community.”
