Butuan City – The Police Regional Office 13 (PRO13) has intensified its campaign against illegal drugs, leading to the confiscation of P8,776,307.40 worth of narcotics and the arrest of 230 individuals from January 1 to February 27, 2025.

According to the Regional Operations Division 13, law enforcement officers seized a total of 1,277.963 grams of shabu, 55.52 grams of marijuana, and 15 grams of cocaine through buy-bust operations, search warrant implementations, and checkpoint inspections.

Among those apprehended, 62 were identified as High-Value Individuals (HVIs), while 168 were categorized as Street-Level Individuals (SLIs). All suspects are currently under the custody of the arresting units pending further legal proceedings.

“We will not allow drug personalities to destroy families and weaken the moral fabric of our society. Those who continue to peddle or use illegal drugs will face the full force of the law,” stated Police Brigadier General Christopher N. Abrahano, director of PRO13.

He also acknowledged the collaborative efforts of partner agencies, particularly the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 13 (PDEA-13), in the sustained drive against illegal drugs. The joint operations between law enforcement agencies aim to strengthen the region’s anti-drug initiatives and maintain peace and order.

Authorities reaffirmed their commitment to a drug-free community and encouraged public cooperation in reporting illegal drug activities.
