Sultan Kudarat, February 14, 2025 – A successful drug entrapment operation conducted by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) personnel under the supervision of PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente led to the seizure of Php136,000 worth of illegal drugs in Purok Dela Pena, Brgy. Tuka, Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat.
The operation, facilitated by Bagumbayan Municipal Police Station (MPS), Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (MDEU), Sultan Kudarat Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (SKPDEU), and the 2nd Sultan Kudarat Provincial Mobile Force Company (SKPMFC), resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified as alias “Okoy,” a 42-year-old driver classified as a Street-Level Individual (SLI).
Recovered from the suspect’s possession were a small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, along with two large heat-sealed sachets of the same substance weighing a total of 20 grams. Authorities also confiscated a Php1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, a small pouch, and a black Bajaj CT 100 motorcycle with a sidecar.
The suspect is now in police custody while the confiscated drug evidence has been turned over to the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Forensic Unit in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat, for further examination.
PBGEN Ardiente emphasized that this operation underscores the commitment of the police force to combating illegal drugs. “The successful arrest of this street-level druggie manifests the determination of the police force to completely eradicate one of the country’s major problems – illegal drugs,” he stated.
Authorities continue to urge the public to report any suspicious drug-related activities to help maintain peace and order in the region.
