Kidapawan City, Cotabato – Law enforcement authorities successfully confiscated an estimated Php374,680 worth of illegal drugs in a buy-bust operation conducted on February 13, 2025, in Purok 5A, Barangay Balindog, Kidapawan City.
The suspect, identified only as alias “JM,” a 24-year-old resident of Barangay Lanao, Kidapawan City, has been tagged as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade.
The joint operation was carried out by personnel from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12, Regional Intelligence Unit 12, Police Drug Enforcement Group 12, Regional Intelligence Division 12, Cotabato Police Provincial Office-Intelligence Unit, and Kidapawan City Police Station. Authorities seized approximately 55.1 grams of suspected shabu with a Standard Drug Price of Php374,680, along with buy-bust money and other non-drug items.
The Police Regional Office 12 reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying the anti-drug campaign, emphasizing efforts to ensure peace, order, and progress in Region 12. The authorities continue to urge the public to support law enforcement initiatives in combating illegal drugs.
The suspect is currently in police custody, and charges related to the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
