Pangantucan, Bukidnon — A checkpoint operation conducted by personnel of the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PCPT Christopher P. Tuzara II, Officer-In-Charge, resulted in the arrest of a male suspect in possession of 200 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of ₱1,360,000.00.

The operation was carried out at Sitio Bong-Bong, Adtuyon, Pangantucan, Bukidnon, and targeted a 35-year-old married resident of P-9 Sugarland, Lumbo, Valencia City. The suspect was apprehended during the checkpoint and found with the illicit substance, prompting immediate police action.

In a statement, PCOL Culaway commended the Pangantucan MPS team for their exceptional efforts in ensuring public safety. “I commend the exceptional efforts of Pangantucan MPS for this successful operation. Your hard work, vigilance, and swift action greatly made a significant impact on public safety. Let us remain dedicated in our relentless pursuit of a drug-free province,” he said.

Following the arrest, the suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station for proper documentation. The evidence will be forwarded to the Provincial Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative examination.

The police have prepared a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspect.

This accomplishment underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies in Bukidnon to combat illegal drug activities and ensure the safety and security of its residents.
