Zamboanga City, Philippines – Authorities confiscated an estimated Php 510,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested a 22-year-old suspect in an anti-illegal drug operation conducted in Barangay Putik on December 10, 2024.
Police Brigadier General Bowenn Joey M. Masauding, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 9, identified the suspect as alias “Bossing,” a male resident of Sta. Catalina, Zamboanga City.
The operation, led by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, resulted in the confiscation of three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing approximately 75 grams of suspected shabu. Other seized items included a Php 1,000 bill with serial number F040888 used as marked money, 49 counterfeit Php 1,000 bills, and additional non-drug evidence.
The suspect will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.”
Police officials reaffirmed their commitment to intensify anti-illegal drug campaigns, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.
