LAGONG-LONG, Misamis Oriental — A fisherman who was earlier reported missing in Kinoguitan, Misamis Oriental, was found dead inside a boat drifting at sea off the coast of Lagonglong on Thursday afternoon, October 29.
The victim, initially unidentified following the discovery of his body, was later identified as a fisherman from Barangay Sumalag, Kinoguitan, known by the alias “Edlex.”
Authorities had been working to establish the identity of the deceased after his body was discovered inside the drifting vessel. Initial information indicated that he could be the fisherman previously reported missing in Kinoguitan.
By Friday, October 30, the victim’s identity had been established, and his remains had already been claimed by his family.
