The victim, identified only by the nickname “Noy,” was found dead in Purok 1, Barangay Mapayag. Authorities believe the incident was a case of suicide, although the circumstances surrounding the tragedy remain under investigation.
According to initial information, the victim had reportedly been involved in a domestic argument with his wife earlier that day. Witnesses said he was last seen alone at around 11:00 a.m. He was later discovered lifeless at approximately 3:00 p.m.
Police and other concerned authorities are continuing their investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials have yet to release additional details as they work to verify the facts.

As the investigation continues, local residents have extended their condolences to the bereaved family, offering prayers and support during this difficult time.
This tragedy also serves as a solemn reminder that emotional pain and personal struggles are often invisible. Many people may be silently carrying burdens that others do not see. Reaching out with compassion, checking on friends and loved ones, and creating safe spaces where people feel heard can make a meaningful difference.
If you or someone you know is experiencing overwhelming emotional distress, depression, or thoughts of self-harm, remember that you are not alone. Speaking with a trusted family member, friend, counselor, mental health professional, or a local health worker can be an important first step. Help is available, and seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness.
As the community of Barangay Mapayag mourns this painful loss, many hope the tragedy will also encourage greater awareness of mental health, stronger support for those in crisis, and a renewed commitment to looking out for one another with kindness, understanding, and compassion.
