TAGOLOAN, Misamis Oriental — A still unidentified woman was robbed in broad daylight by motorcycle-riding suspects in Barangay Natumolan, near St. Paul Hospital Tagoloan, late Monday morning, May 4, authorities and witnesses reported.

The incident occurred at around 10:55 a.m., when the victim had just stepped out of her vehicle. According to a social media post by a witness from Sugaan Ad Venture, the suspects appeared to have been monitoring the woman’s movements prior to the attack.

As the victim exited her car, one of the suspects—reportedly wearing an orange shirt—suddenly grabbed her bag with force. The violent snatching caused the woman to fall hard onto the pavement, leaving her sprawled on the road and in need of immediate assistance.

“The suspect in orange quickly seized the bag as soon as the woman got out of her vehicle. It seemed like they were already following her,” the witness recounted.

After the robbery, the suspects fled the scene on a motorcycle, heading toward Barangay Bugo in Cagayan de Oro City. Concerned individuals attempted to pursue the fleeing suspects, and the chase reportedly reached as far as Zone 4 in Bugo. However, the suspects managed to evade capture due to heavy traffic in the area.

The victim was left injured and shaken following the attack. Details regarding the extent of her injuries and the value of the stolen belongings have yet to be disclosed.

Police authorities have launched a manhunt operation against the two suspects, who remain at large as of this writing. Initial reports suggest the perpetrators deliberately targeted the victim and executed the crime swiftly upon finding an opportunity.

Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant, especially when alone or in less crowded areas, and to be cautious when exiting vehicles. They also encourage anyone with information that may lead to the identification and arrest of the suspects to immediately coordinate with local law enforcement.
