QUEZON, Bukidnon — Two men are now behind bars after allegedly harassing and intimidating women at a spring resort in Barangay 2, Poblacion on the afternoon of March 20, 2026—an incident that sparked fear among guests and disrupted what was meant to be a peaceful outing.

According to police reports, the disturbance occurred at around 3:50 p.m. when the victim, identified as “Jenny,” 36, was having a picnic with companions at the resort. The situation escalated when two male individuals, identified by their aliases “Ricky,” 37, and “Amboy,” 42, approached their group while reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
Initial investigations revealed that the suspects began acting aggressively, allegedly issuing threats and clenching their fists in a menacing manner. The confrontation did not end there, as the two men reportedly continued to roam around the area, causing unease among other visitors in nearby cottages.
Moments later, the suspects returned and allegedly escalated their behavior by shouting obscene remarks at the women. One of the suspects reportedly went as far as exposing his private parts, further alarming those present and heightening the tension within the resort.
Authorities from the Philippine National Police (PNP) responded to the incident, but the situation intensified upon their arrival. The suspects allegedly resisted arrest and attempted to attack the responding officers, prompting law enforcers to subdue and detain them.
The two are now in police custody and are facing multiple charges, including Direct Assault, Alarm and Scandal, and Resistance and Disobedience to a Person in Authority.
Police officials condemned the suspects’ actions, emphasizing that such behavior—especially in public places—will not be tolerated. They also assured the public that measures are being strengthened to ensure the safety and security of tourists and local visitors in recreational areas across Bukidnon.
Investigations remain ongoing as authorities prepare the formal filing of charges against the suspects.
