DAVAO CITY — Police operatives arrested a 27-year-old man and seized a firearm and suspected shabu during the implementation of a search warrant early Thursday morning, December 18, 2025, in Purok 5, Isla Verde, Barangay 23-C, this city.

The suspect, identified by police only by his alias “Dodong Taba,” was apprehended after authorities allegedly found him in possession of suspected shabu with an estimated total value of ₱190,400, along with a .45 caliber pistol and two rounds of ammunition.

According to police reports, the search was conducted pursuant to a warrant signed by Executive Judge Rowena Apao-Adlawan of the 11th Judicial Region, Davao City, following intelligence reports linking the suspect to illegal drug activities in the area.

The operation was led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Davao City Police Office (CDEU-DCPO), with support from the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit–Region 11 (RPDEU-XI), City Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Division–XI, 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies, and personnel from Santa Ana Police Station 1.

Authorities said the suspect is now under police custody and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, pending further investigation.

Police officials reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations in Davao City, emphasizing that coordinated efforts among police units remain crucial in dismantling drug-related criminal activities and ensuring public safety.
