Authorities dismantled an illegal Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) refilling station in Purok 3, Alae, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, following the implementation of a court-issued search warrant on Friday, December 5, 2025.
The operation, led by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) with representatives from PRYCEGAS, targeted a suspect known only as alias “Boy Siga,” who has been allegedly operating an unauthorized LPG refilling activity involving PRYCEGAS and other brands without any legal permit from the company or the Department of Energy (DOE).
During the raid, authorities seized 43 refilled tanks, 100 empty tanks, and various refilling equipment, all of which were found illegally stored and used at the site.
According to the NBI, all confiscated evidence is now under their custody. The suspect will face charges for violating Presidential Decree 1865, which penalizes the illegal refilling, sale, and distribution of LPG—an offense that poses serious safety risks to communities due to the high danger of explosions, fires, and toxic leaks.
Investigators emphasized that illegal LPG operations not only undermine legitimate businesses but also endanger the lives of unsuspecting consumers who may unknowingly purchase compromised or substandard LPG tanks.
Authorities continue their crackdown on illegal LPG refilling activities in the province as part of nationwide efforts to ensure public safety and compliance with energy regulations.
