LAGUINDINGAN, MISAMIS ORIENTAL — A high-value target couple allegedly running a multi-province drug network was arrested after the Philippine National Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 10 (PNP DEG SOU 10), along with other operating units, executed a successful buy-bust operation on December 7, 2025.
The suspects, known only by their aliases “Madam,” 45, and “Ser,” 46, are residents of Marawi City and reportedly began their illegal drug activities in 2024. Authorities said the pair sourced their supply from Maguing, Lanao del Sur, before distributing illegal drugs across Lanao del Norte, Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro City, and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
Operatives seized five large knot-tied plastic cellophanes filled with a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu, weighing approximately 500 grams. The confiscated drugs carry a Standard Drug Price value of P3.4 million.
Police said this is the first time the couple has been apprehended. They are now detained at SOU 10, PNP DEG, along with the seized contraband, for documentation and further investigation. Charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against them.
PBGEN Christopher N. Abrahano, Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the coordinated efforts of all operating units involved, emphasizing that the arrest marks another significant step in the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs in Northern Mindanao.
