DAVAO CITY — The Regional Oversight Committee on Barangay Drug Clearing Program (ROCBDC) has officially declared two barangays in the Davao Region as drug-cleared following a comprehensive evaluation conducted on November 13, 2025, at the Davao City Anti-Drug Abuse Council Conference Room, Davao City Recreation Center.
Chaired by PDEA Regional Office XI Director DIR III Edgar T. Jubay, the committee convened from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to assess documents, compliance reports, and operational accomplishments of barangays seeking either drug-cleared or drug-free status.
After deliberations, the body confirmed Barangay Mudiang in Davao City and Barangay Zone 1 in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, as drug-cleared effective November 13, 2025. Both barangays met all criteria under Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 4, Series of 2021, which outlines stringent requirements for drug-clearing validation.
In addition to the declarations, the oversight body also verified 15 barangays as drug-free, confirming the absence of illegal drug activities based on community profiling, law enforcement monitoring, and barangay-level anti-drug initiatives. A total of 159 barangays across the Davao Region were likewise validated for their continuing drug-cleared status.
The ROCBDC is composed of representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as Vice Chair, Department of Health (DOH), Police Regional Office XI, and the respective local government units.
Chiefs of Police, Anti-Drug Abuse Council members, and barangay stakeholders were present during the session, reaffirming their commitment to sustaining a drug-free environment through intensified advocacy, community involvement, and continuous monitoring.
Authorities emphasized that maintaining drug-cleared and drug-free status requires consistent vigilance and collaboration among local leaders, law enforcement, and residents to ensure safer and healthier communities across the region.
