September 29, 2025 — El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that the Easterlies will continue to affect Mindanao today, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms across the island.

In its 5:00 a.m. regional forecast, PAGASA warned residents that localized thunderstorms could bring flash floods and landslides, especially in areas with steep terrain. Winds are expected to be light to moderate from the northeast to southeast, while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 2.5 meters.

Zamboanga Peninsula — Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will have partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with possible afternoon or evening thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 23°C to 34°C, while coastal conditions remain slight to moderate.

Northern Mindanao — Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental will likewise experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 19°C in the highlands of Bukidnon to 32°C along coastal areas.

Davao Region — Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental can expect similar weather conditions. Temperatures will climb to 34°C in Metro Davao but may cool down to 22°C in elevated areas such as Davao de Oro.

SOCCSKSARGEN — North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will also have partly cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 22°C in North Cotabato to 32°C in South Cotabato.

Caraga Region — Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and the Dinagat Islands will see partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms. Maximum temperatures are expected at 33°C in Agusan del Sur.

Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) — Cotabato City, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Maguindanao del Norte, and Maguindanao del Sur will remain partly cloudy with chances of thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening. Lowland areas may record temperatures up to 33°C, while cooler conditions at 21°C are expected in Lanao del Sur.

PAGASA advised residents and travelers to remain vigilant for possible sudden heavy downpours that could lead to flooding and landslides. Fisherfolk and small seacraft operators are also urged to monitor updates, as thunderstorms may cause rougher seas despite the forecast of slight to moderate coastal conditions.
