Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur – September 27, 2025 — A female businesswoman was gunned down in broad daylight after unidentified suspects shot her multiple times in front of her gasoline station along the national highway in Barangay Kamasi, Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, late Saturday afternoon.
The victim was identified by police as Sharra Jou Ampatuan, married and a resident of Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur. She was also the owner of the Fajad Gasoline Station, where the incident occurred.
Initial investigation from the Ampatuan Municipal Police Station revealed that the victim was walking towards her gasoline station at around 4:00 p.m. when she was suddenly approached by armed assailants and shot repeatedly. She sustained gunshot wounds to the head and various parts of her body, causing her instantaneous death.
PNP-BARMM spokesperson Lt. Col. Jopy Ventura confirmed the incident, saying authorities are still determining the motive behind the killing. Meanwhile, investigators are pursuing possible leads to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
Police have yet to establish whether the incident was linked to business, personal matters, or other angles. Law enforcement units in the area have been placed on heightened alert as the investigation continues.
