The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that Easterlies continue to affect Mindanao, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with chances of isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms across the island today until tomorrow morning.

In its 5:00 a.m. regional weather forecast, PAGASA warned residents that while most areas will experience generally fair weather, localized thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides, especially in flood-prone and mountainous areas. Winds will be light to moderate coming from the northeast to southeast, with coastal waters expected to be slight to moderate, ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 meters.

Regional Outlook

  • Zamboanga Peninsula: Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, and Isabela City will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Winds are light to moderate, and seas remain slight to moderate. Temperatures are forecast to range between 23°C and 32°C.
  • Northern Mindanao: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental will also see a mix of sun and clouds with possible thunderstorms. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate, with inland temperatures between 20°C and 31°C.
  • Davao Region: Metro Davao, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental are forecast to have partly cloudy skies with occasional rainshowers or thunderstorms. Maximum daytime temperatures may reach up to 34°C in some lowland areas.
  • SOCCSKSARGEN: North Cotabato, South Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Sarangani will experience partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms. Coastal areas remain generally calm to slight, with temperatures ranging from 22°C to 33°C.
  • Caraga Region: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Dinagat Islands can expect partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with rainshowers or thunderstorms. Winds are light to moderate, and seas slight to moderate. Daytime highs may reach up to 33°C.
  • Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM): Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao del Norte, Maguindanao del Sur, Cotabato City, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi will have the same partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms. Coastal waters will remain slight to moderate, with inland temperatures ranging from 20°C to 31°C.

Advisory

PAGASA reminds the public to remain vigilant for sudden heavy rainfall that could lead to localized flooding and landslides. Fisherfolk and those with small sea vessels are also advised to take precautionary measures due to occasional moderate seas.
