GLAN, SARANGANI PROVINCE – The family of a 17-year-old Grade 12 student is crying for justice after he was fatally stabbed by unidentified suspects while jogging on Wednesday evening, September 17, 2025.

The victim, identified as Adrian Herasta, a resident of Purok San Antonio, Barangay Ilaya, was on his way home from jogging around 6:30 p.m. when three to five unidentified men suddenly approached and stabbed him, according to the initial report from the Glan Municipal Police Station.

Despite managing to seek help from bystanders at a nearby bakery, Herasta was rushed to the nearest medical facility where he later died after several hours of fighting for his life.

The brutal incident has left the community in shock and grief, with relatives and friends mourning the loss of the young student. Reports revealed that Herasta was already orphaned and had been striving, alongside his siblings, to continue schooling and survive daily life.

Police are now conducting further investigation to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
