VINCENZO SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur – A 38-year-old woman was found lifeless in an alleged suicide incident in Barangay Lunib, Vincenzo Sagun on Thursday night, August 28, 2025.
Police identified the victim as Flordeliza Sanchez Mangubat, a resident of the same barangay.
According to the Vincenzo Sagun Municipal Police Station (MPS), initial information revealed that Mangubat was earlier seen holding a bottle of liquor and a rope. By nightfall, she was discovered by neighbors hanging from a Madre de Cacao tree.
Authorities from the MPS, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Rural Health Unit (RHU) immediately responded to the scene. RHU personnel declared her dead on-site.
Police said an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
