KORONADAL CITY – A 35-year-old man was arrested in a successful anti-drug operation conducted on July 24, 2025, in Koronadal City, as part of the continuing crackdown on illegal drugs in Region 12.
The suspect, identified only by the alias “Robi,” a street-level individual and resident of Koronadal City, was apprehended in a buy-bust operation carried out by joint operatives of the Koronadal City Police Station, the South Cotabato Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and the Regional Intelligence Division 12 (RID 12), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Confiscated during the operation were four sachets of suspected shabu weighing 15.04 grams, with an estimated street value of ₱102,272. Authorities also seized a marked ₱500 bill used in the transaction.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Koronadal City Police Station. Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against him.
“We will continue to intensify our anti-drug efforts in close coordination with partner agencies to ensure that those who choose to engage in the illegal drug trade are brought to justice. Our message remains firm—there is no safe haven for drug offenders in Region 12,” said PBGEN Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 12.
