BULDON, Maguindanao del Norte — Authorities arrested a female drug suspect and seized over ₱2.2 million worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation on Thursday, June 13, in Sitio Sapad, Barangay Cabayuan.

The suspect, identified by the alias “Saima,” is listed as a High-Value Individual (HVI) in the illegal drug trade. She was apprehended after allegedly selling illegal drugs to a police poseur buyer during the operation conducted by combined forces from the Buldon Municipal Police Station, 1st PMFC – 3rd Maneuver Platoon, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit, and the 1401st RMFB 14-A.

Police confiscated a total of 330.7 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱2,248,760. The seized items included:

  • One (1) heat-sealed sachet containing 5.1 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱34,680
  • One (1) heat-sealed sachet with 25 grams valued at ₱170,000
  • Three (3) knot-tied plastic sachets, each containing around 100.2 grams valued at ₱681,360
  • Marked buy-bust money used in the transaction

The suspect and the confiscated items were brought to the Buldon Municipal Police Station for booking and documentation. Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared against the suspect.

The suspected illegal drugs were submitted to the Regional Forensic Unit – BAR for laboratory analysis.

Authorities have reiterated their commitment to intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs in the region, especially those involving high-value targets.
