Koronadal City, South Cotabato – June 5, 2025 — In a major anti-drug operation, two alleged high-value individuals (HVIs) were arrested by law enforcement authorities in Koronadal City on the evening of June 4, following a successful buy-bust operation.
The suspects, known by their aliases “Panoy,” 37, and “Boboy,” 49, both residents of Koronadal, were apprehended in possession of four heat-sealed transparent sachets containing suspected shabu. The confiscated illegal drugs have an estimated total weight of around 150 grams, with a standard drug price of Php1,020,476.00. Authorities also recovered a Php500 bill used as marked money in the operation.
The operation was conducted by joint forces of the Koronadal City Police Station (CPS), South Cotabato Police Provincial Office (SCPPO), and Tracker Team Charlie of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) 12.
The suspects and the seized evidence are currently under the custody of the Koronadal CPS for documentation and proper disposition. Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them.
Police Brigadier General Arnold P. Ardiente, Regional Director of PRO 12, praised the operating units for their swift and coordinated response.
