SHARIFF SAYDONA MUSTAPHA, MAGUINDANAO DEL SUR — The body of an unidentified man was found floating in the Pulangi River in Barangay Dasawao, Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Maguindanao del Sur, authorities and local residents reported.
The body was discovered after it reportedly drifted into the area along the river, prompting residents to alert authorities and initiate efforts to determine the identity of the deceased.
According to information gathered from the area, the man had a beard and was reportedly still wearing a wristwatch when his body was recovered. However, authorities have yet to establish his identity, and no information was immediately available indicating where he came from or how he ended up in the river.
Residents in the area reportedly did not recognize the man and said he was not known in their community. Based on the circumstances surrounding the discovery, locals believe the body may have been carried downstream by the current before reaching Barangay Dasawao.
