ALAMADA, Cotabato — Authorities arrested a high-value drug suspect and confiscated illegal drugs and firearms during the implementation of two search warrants in Barangay Dado, Alamada, Cotabato early morning on Sunday, June 1, 2026.

The intensified anti-criminality operation, led by the Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12), was conducted at around 5:40 a.m. by joint operatives from the Alamada Municipal Police Station (MPS), Cotabato Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (CPPO PDEU), Regional Intelligence Division 12 (RID 12), Regional Intelligence Unit 12 (RIU 12), Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd CPMFC), and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 12 (RMFB 12), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12.
The operation stemmed from the implementation of Search Warrant Nos. 26-014 and 26-015 issued by Hon. Rainera P. Osua, Executive Judge and Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 28 in Midsayap, Cotabato, dated May 29, 2026. The operation was conducted under PDEA Coordination Number 13-00-05312026-003.
Arrested was alias “Koy,” also known as “Bimbo,” 55 years old, married, a farmer, and resident of Purok Malipayon, Barangay Dado, Alamada, Cotabato. Police identified the suspect as a priority High-Value Individual (HVI) at the provincial level and listed under COPLAN SAWMILL.
Recovered from the suspect’s possession and control were 19 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing approximately 100 grams with an estimated standard drug price of ₱680,000.00.
Authorities also seized two caliber .45 pistols, three steel magazines for caliber .45 firearms, 10 live rounds of caliber .45 ammunition, and one improvised tooter believed to be used for illegal drug consumption.
Police said the operation and search were conducted in an orderly manner. Inventory and documentation of the confiscated evidence were carried out on-site in the presence of the arrested suspect and the required insulating witnesses, in accordance with legal procedures.
Authorities further stated that the suspect was informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine using a dialect known and understood by him.
The arrested suspect was brought to the police station for proper disposition, while the confiscated illegal drugs and firearms will be submitted to the Cotabato Provincial Forensic Unit in Kidapawan City for laboratory and ballistic examinations.
Charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, are being prepared against the suspect.
PBGEN Alan B. Manibog, Acting Regional Director of PRO 12, emphasized the significance of the operation in combating both illegal drugs and armed criminality in the region.
“The seizure of firearms and illegal drugs highlights the link between drug activity and armed criminality. This operation reflects PRO 12’s strong commitment to stop drug personalities and neutralize their armed capability through sustained intensified operations to protect communities,” Manibog said.
PRO 12 assured the public that intensified anti-drug and anti-criminality campaigns will continue across Central Mindanao as authorities strengthen efforts to dismantle illegal drug networks and maintain peace and order in vulnerable communities.
