MULONDO, Lanao del Sur — More than PHP 1.3 million worth of suspected shabu was seized and one suspect was arrested following a high-impact buy-bust operation conducted by joint police and intelligence units on December 10, 2025, in Barangay Ilian.

The coordinated operation—led by the RDEU/RSOG PRO BAR with support from PDEU/PSOG LDSPPO, RID-RIAT, 1st PMFC-LDSPPO, PIT-LDS, PIU LDSPPO, and Mulondo MPS—resulted in the arrest of a suspect known only by his alias, “Abdul.” Authorities recovered approximately 205.5 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of PHP 1,397,400.

Police said the buy-bust, conducted through a poseur buyer under PDEA PRE-OPS No. 15-00-11262025-001, was the culmination of a month-long surveillance and intelligence-gathering operation aimed at dismantling a local drug supply network.

The arrested suspect is now under the custody of the Mulondo Municipal Police Station and is set to face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

PCOL Caezar P. Cabuhat, Provincial Director of Lanao del Sur PPO, praised the operatives for their “dedication, teamwork, and relentless pursuit of drug personalities,” emphasizing that the success of the operation reflects the police force’s commitment to protecting communities and weakening the illegal drug trade in the province.

PBGEN Jaysen C. De Guzman, Regional Director of PRO BAR, likewise commended the joint units, noting that the results demonstrate the region’s sustained campaign to combat illegal drugs and prevent their spread across the Bangsamoro region.

Authorities vowed to continue similar operations as part of ongoing efforts to eradicate the illegal drug menace in Lanao del Sur.
