DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur — Five individuals were arrested in a joint anti-illegal drugs operation conducted by the Digos City Police Station, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Region XI (PDEA-XI), the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Davao del Sur, and the 1st Davao del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st DSPMFC) in the early hours of Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The operation was carried out at around 2:07 a.m. along Mabini Extension, Digos City, resulting in the apprehension of suspects identified only by their aliases: “Dol,” 30, a laborer; “Jiboy,” 27, a driver; “Pahak,” 25, a laborer; “Ken-Ken,” 24, a massage therapist; and “Budi,” 23, a construction worker.

Police reports said authorities were able to confiscate suspected shabu from the suspects, with a total estimated street value of ₱32,776. The seized items were properly marked and documented at the scene in the presence of required witnesses, in accordance with standard operating procedures.

The suspects are currently under the temporary custody of the Digos City Police Station, while inquest proceedings and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are underway.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-drug operations in Digos City as part of ongoing efforts to curb the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensure public safety in the community.
