Mabini, Davao de Oro — Police operatives in Mabini launched simultaneous search warrant operations on November 20, 2025, resulting in the arrest of one suspect and the seizure of illegal drugs and firearm-related evidence in separate operations in Barangay Golden Valley.

The coordinated law enforcement effort was led by the Mabini Municipal Police Station under PMAJ Churchill Pablo B. Angog Jr., in partnership with the 2nd DDOPMFC, 1101st MC RMFB 11, RPSB Cluster 9, and the DDOPPO PDEU. The two respondents targeted in the operations were allegedly involved in violations of Republic Act 10591 (Illegal Possession of Firearms and Ammunition) and Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act).

In the first operation, police served a search warrant for violations of RA 10591, leading to the suspect’s arrest. Authorities recovered and documented pieces of evidence on-site, in the presence of the suspect, his family members, and a local elected official. The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights before being brought—along with the seized items—to the Mabini Municipal Police Station for processing and the filing of charges.

In a separate but simultaneous operation, police implemented another search warrant related to illegal drugs, which led to the seizure of suspected shabu in violation of Section 11 of RA 9165. Evidence was properly marked and inventoried at the scene, witnessed by the suspect’s brother Antonio V. Ambao, a media representative, and a local official, as required under Section 21 of RA 9165.

All confiscated evidence has been turned over to the Mabini MPS for documentation and the appropriate filing of criminal charges as authorities continue to intensify operations against illegal firearms and drugs in the municipality.
