MALAYBALAY CITY, Bukidnon — Governor Rogelio Neil P. Roque, alongside top military officials, led the ceremonial turnover of cash assistance to two former rebels who voluntarily surrendered to government forces last September 15, underscoring ongoing peace and development efforts in the province.

The turnover ceremony was held with Major General Michele B. Anayron Jr., Commander of the 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division, and Colonel Warren C. Munda, Officer-in-Charge of the 403rd Infantry “Peacemaker” Brigade.

The former rebels — identified as alias REDS/JARI/ISYOT/RAID, a commanding officer of RSDG Compaq, NCMRC, and his wife alias VIVIAN/YADI/DIGAN, a political officer of the same unit — surrendered at the headquarters of the 403rd Brigade.

As part of the government’s reintegration program, the couple received immediate cash assistance to help them start anew and reintegrate peacefully into their communities.

Governor Roque stressed the importance of sustaining peace and development initiatives in Bukidnon, noting that long-term stability is essential for the province’s growth. “These efforts are not just about ending armed conflict but about building communities where every family can thrive in peace,” he said.

Major General Anayron reaffirmed the Philippine Army’s commitment to support local government units in assisting former rebels, saying the military will continue to help them transition into productive and law-abiding citizens.

The activity, witnessed by members of the media and the PLGU Bukidnon News Team, highlighted the whole-of-nation approach in promoting reconciliation and inclusive development.

The event marked another step in the continuing collaboration between the Provincial Government of Bukidnon, the 4th Infantry Division, the 403rd Infantry Brigade, and other stakeholders to advance lasting peace across the province.
