CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — Police Regional Office 10 (PRO10) confiscated an estimated ₱1,231,412.00 worth of suspected shabu and apprehended 30 individuals during a string of anti-illegal drug operations conducted across Northern Mindanao from September 20 to 21, 2025.

One of the major operations took place on September 20 in Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, where the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 10 (RPDEU-10), with support from other units, carried out a buy-bust operation. Six suspects identified by their aliases as “Gogo,” “Jan jan,” “Mai mai,” “Kim Kim,” “Agaw,” and “Boboy” were arrested.

Recovered from the suspects were 19 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 60 grams, valued at ₱408,000.00, along with various drug paraphernalia. Police reported that the suspects, composed of a truck driver and his helpers, allegedly catered to clients who were also mostly drivers in the municipality. All six are believed to be first-time offenders.

On the same day, the Tagoloan Municipal Police Station, under the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office, conducted another buy-bust operation in Barangay Santa Cruz, Tagoloan. The operation led to the arrest of two suspects identified as “Bry,” 22, and “A.J.,” 35. Confiscated from them were 10 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 35 grams, valued at ₱238,000.00, along with assorted paraphernalia.

Initial investigation revealed that the drugs were delivered to the duo and that their operations were confined within Tagoloan. Like the earlier group, both suspects were reported to be first-time offenders.

All arrested individuals are now in police custody. Charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being readied against them.

PBGEN Rolindo M. Suguilon, Regional Director of PRO10, lauded the operating units for their dedication and efficiency, stressing that the operations underscore the police’s firm resolve to combat illegal drugs.

“We remain relentless in the campaign against illegal drugs. These accomplishments reflect our firm commitment to protect our communities from the harmful effects of this menace. We call on the public to continue cooperating with authorities by reporting suspicious drug-related activities in their areas,” Suguilon said.

PRO10 reiterated that its intensified campaign is part of ongoing efforts to ensure safer and drug-free communities across Northern Mindanao.
